The state government stated in the eviction notice sent on May 24, 2022, "... Shri Kamsei (village chief)... is encroaching on state land/sericulture farm... by way of construction of road at the center off the state land/farm."
"... It has become expedient to issue eviction notice to all illegal encroachers to protect and preserve the government land and properties in the public interest," the notification stated.
The authorities told him three days to get rid of the encroachments; else, eviction proceedings would be initiated.
