To reach Rs 1.65 trillion in July, GST collections increased by 11%.
IN NEW DELHI: According to information made available by the finance ministry on Tuesday, the gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) income received in July 2023 was Rs 1,65,105 crore, which was a little increase over the receipts in July.
The overall GST collection has now exceeded Rs 1.60 lakh crore for a seventh time since the implementation of the system. GST revenue reached an all-time high of Rs 1.87 lakh crore in April 2023.
Out of the Rs 1.65 lakh crore collected in July, the national GST was worth Rs 29,773 crore, the state GST was worth Rs 37,623 crore, and the combined GST was worth Rs 85,930 crore (including Rs 41,239 crore collected on imports of commodities). According to a statement from the ministry, the cess was Rs 11,779 billion (including Rs 840 billion in revenue from imported items).

After normal settlement, the combined income for the month of July 2023 for the CGST and the SGST was Rs 69,558 crore and Rs 70,811 crore, respectively.
Notably, the GST receipts for the month of July 2023 are 11% greater than the GST receipts for the corresponding month in the previous year.
The income from domestic transactions (including the import of services) was 15% greater during the month than it was during the same month the previous year.
