IMD predicts significant rainfall for Himachal Pradesh starting on THIS day, which might make the Delhi floods worse.

The monsoon has calmed down a little bit and is predicted to remain low tomorrow after wrecking havoc in various states of north India. However, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Himachal Pradesh will see severe rain starting on July 14 and lasting up to five days. The Himachal Pradesh rainfall advisory is predicted to exacerbate the state's natural calamities and, maybe, make the Delhi floods worse.
Rainfall will be less intense today and tomorrow. In Himachal Pradesh, the monsoon will wane a little and there will be just modest precipitation. However, the monsoon will resume intensifying from July 14 and rains will last for the next 4-5 days, according to Surendra Pal, head of the Shimla Meteorological Department, who spoke to PTI.
Delhi's Yamuna River reached a record-breaking height of 207.81 meters, leading the authorities to order the evacuation of residents from low-lying districts. The Delhi authorities said that despite the comparatively calm weather during the previous two days, the flow of water from the Hathni Kund Barrage in Haryana is to blame for the perilous scenario.
Gajendra Shekhawat is spoken to by Arvind Kejriwal.
The chief minister of Delhi claimed on Wednesday to have spoken with Union minister Gajendra Shekhawat, who had told him that the amount of water being released into the Yamuna from Himachal Pradesh and Haryana will be reduced.
However, recent weather forecasts might alter the calculations.
In the letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Arvind Kejriwal asked that "if possible, the water from the Hathnikund barrage in Haryana be released in limited speed." This is when he spoke with Gajendra Shekhawat.
"I received a call from Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat after I wrote him a letter, and he said that Hathnikund is only a barrage and that there isn't a reservoir to hold water or regulate the flow of water. The amount of water being released from Himachal Pradesh has decreased, and things will get better. But it would take time for it to show up in the Yamuna's water level, he added during a news briefing following the meeting.
