A 20-year-old lady from Uttar Pradesh and her companion are accused of killing a guy in Delhi's Shastri Park neighborhood after becoming upset over her relative's frequent rapes, a police officer said on Monday.
Irfan (36), who lives in DDA Flats in Shastri Park, and the lady, who is from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, were both reportedly detained by police.
According to the official, the woman's spouse passed away in January 2023 as a result of sickness. Her spouse was related to the dead, Abujar (20), who was a native of Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh).
After her husband's passing, the widow alleged that Abujar had repeatedly sexually assaulted her. She desired retaliation and separation from Abujar. She is Irfan's wife's close friend. Irfan consented to assist her, the official added.
The event came to light after Abujar's body was discovered on Sunday morning abandoned at Bela Farm, a location underneath Shastri Park police station.
"A shirtless male body was found at the location with cuts from a sharp object on his neck and abdomen. Two suspects were found after checking around 20 CCTV cameras, and they were later proven to be the culprits, according to a senior police officer.
The officer stated, "A case was lodged under pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code, and the two accused were seized.
The woman brought Abujar to a location close to Beta Farm on the fatal day to see the overflowing Yamuna river, it was discovered during questioning.
There, she and Irfan defeated him and fatally stabbed him. The corpse was thrown behind a wall in Bela Farm. Near the crime scene, the official discovered the knife that was used in the offense.

पति के निधन के बाद विधवा ने आरोप लगाया कि अबुजर ने बार-बार उसका यौन उत्पीड़न किया। वह अबुजर से प्रतिशोध और अलगाव चाहती थी। वह इरफान की पत्नी की करीबी दोस्त हैं। अधिकारी ने बताया कि इरफान ने उसकी मदद करने पर सहमति जताई।
यह घटना तब प्रकाश में आई जब रविवार की सुबह अबूजर का शव शास्त्री पार्क पुलिस स्टेशन के नीचे स्थित बेला फार्म में लावारिस अवस्था में पाया गया।
एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी के अनुसार, "उस स्थान पर एक शर्टलेस पुरुष का शव मिला, जिसके गर्दन और पेट पर किसी तेज वस्तु से कटे हुए निशान थे। लगभग 20 सीसीटीवी कैमरों की जांच के बाद दो संदिग्धों का पता चला, और बाद में वे अपराधी साबित हुए।"
अधिकारी ने कहा, ''भारतीय दंड संहिता के प्रासंगिक प्रावधानों के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया और दोनों आरोपियों को जब्त कर लिया गया।
पूछताछ के दौरान पता चला कि महिला उस घातक दिन अबुजर को उफनती हुई यमुना नदी को देखने के लिए बीटा फार्म के करीब एक स्थान पर ले आई थी।
वहां, उसने और इरफान ने उसे पीटा और उस पर जानलेवा हमला किया। लाश को बेला फार्म में एक दीवार के पीछे फेंक दिया गया। अपराध स्थल के पास, अधिकारी को वह चाकू मिला जो अपराध में इस्तेमाल किया गया था।
