New Delhi: In the Malviya Nagar neighborhood of south Delhi, a man is accused of killing a 23-year-old lady with an iron rod on Friday after she rejected his marriage proposal, according to the police.
They claimed that the accuser and victim were first cousins, with their moms being sisters. According to the police, the suspect had reportedly been following the victim for the last three to four days in an effort to have an opportunity to speak with her.
Irfan, 28, assaulted Nargis while she was with him in a park close to Sri Aurobindo College at Delhi University, according to police sources, who also said that the suspect had been taken into custody.

Irfan became irritated as a result of Nargis ceasing to speak with him, according to the police.
They said that Nargis attended coaching sessions in Malviya Nagar and this year completed her degree.
The accused stated that he grabbed the weapon from his residence, but sources indicate that the murder was planned.
"The defendant asserts that he stole the iron rod used in the crime from his home. He asserted that he attempted to meet the woman on Monday as well, but was unsuccessful. We are checking out his assertions," a source stated.
Surender Kumar, a park guard and one of the first to speak forward, stated, "I was deployed at the entrance when a few youngsters and girls came coming to me yelling about a body laying inside. The victim's relatives informed the police that their relationship had soured as a result of the rejection of the marriage proposal. The Delhi Commission for Women has sent the police a notification requesting information about the murder. DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal sent a letter requesting information on the FIR filed and any further actions taken by the deputy commissioner of police (South) by July 31.

दिल्ली महिला आयोग ने पुलिस को एक अधिसूचना भेजकर हत्या के बारे में जानकारी मांगी है। डीसीडब्ल्यू अध्यक्ष स्वाति मालीवाल ने एक पत्र भेजकर 31 जुलाई तक पुलिस उपायुक्त (दक्षिण) द्वारा दर्ज की गई एफआईआर और आगे की कार्रवाई के बारे में जानकारी देने का अनुरोध किया।
