The Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India will take place in Kandy on September 2, 2023.
In NEW DELHI: The fixture schedule for the Asia Cup 2023 was revealed on Wednesday by Jay Shah, head of the Asian Cricket Committee (ACC). On September 2 in Kandy, the seven-time champion India will face Pakistan, one of their fiercest rivals.
The six-country competition will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17 because to the crossover format that the just approved.
The first match of the tournament will be played on August 30 in Multan between Pakistan and Nepal. On September 10 in Colombo, a Very 4 conflict between the two neighbors is likely to result in a future confrontation.
Sri Lanka's Kandy and Colombo will host nine different matches, including the championship game, while Pakistan will host four.

The top two teams from each group advance to the Super Four stage as part of the tournament structure. To advance to the final, the top two teams from the Super Four stage will face off.
In order to match the format of the subsequent international championships, the Asia Cup is now alternately contested in the ODI and T201 formats as of 2016.
With the exception of Nepal, five of the six competing teams will utilize the 50-over edition of this year's Asia Cup as a practice venue before to the ODI World Cup, which will begin on October 5 in India.
Pakistan will be given the classification Al, India A2, Sri Lanka B1, and Bangladesh B2, regardless of where they placed in the first round.
Nepal and Afghanistan will replace the teams who finish last in their respective groups if they advance to the Super Four round.
While Afghanistan will be replaced in Group B by either Sri Lanka or Bangladesh, Pakistan or India will make room for Nepal in Group A.
